Cloud Platform Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Munich or Berlin (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Transform the Customer Cloud from a bespoke, engineer-heavy process into a standardized, repeatable product.
• Build automation, tooling, and deployment patterns to reduce environment setup time from months to days.
• Design stable, observable, and scalable deployment patterns across AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, and Tanzu.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to provide technical architecture guidance.
• Partner with Technical Support to resolve complex issues and create reusable runbooks and documentation.

Requirements

• Solid experience building and operating cloud-native systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ability to debug and resolve issues across infrastructure and application layers.
• Comfort working across the full build and operate lifecycle.
• Clear, structured thinking with a focus on simplification.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenShift or VMware Tanzu.
• Familiarity with data-heavy systems like OpenSearch, Kafka, or databases.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers or regulated environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation.
