Site Reliability Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Must be based in Fort Meade, MD (On-site)

Salary: $192,000 – $281,000 (Base)

What you will do

• Define, track, and report on SLIs and SLOs for platform services in a restricted environment.
• Lead on-site incident response, including triage, containment, and coordination with the engineering team.
• Manage containerized services and infrastructure using Docker and Terraform within secure enclaves.
• Own the observability posture using the LGTM stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
• Serve as the primary technical interface between government customers and the engineering team.
• Identify and eliminate toil through automation in constrained environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in SRE or infrastructure operations.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, and Terraform in production.
• Strong Linux/Unix systems administration skills.
• Experience supporting government or defense environments, including air-gapped deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience with NATS or similar pub/sub messaging systems.
• Background in cyber operations or intelligence systems.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps).
