What you will do

• Create and monitor controls, procedures, and forms for recording fixed assets.
• Track project costs in fixed asset accounts, close accounts for completed projects, and compare costs with budgets.
• Review fixed asset schedules, determine dispositions, reconcile subsidiary and general ledgers, and run depreciation.
• Prepare fixed asset audit schedules and support auditors with inquiries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with budgets.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers, management, and clients while meeting scheduled reporting expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fixed asset accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fixed assets, general ledger accounting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Excel and the ability to use accounting and reporting systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet time-sensitive deadlines with strong attention to detail.
