R&D Software Engineer Lead & CISO (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI-enabled backend and data systems.
• Own R&D projects from concept and prototyping through production deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, operations, sales, and information security stakeholders.
• Serve as CISO by developing, implementing, and enforcing information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and protect information assets.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or tech-lead role.
• Strong backend expertise in Java, C++, Scala, or Python, plus cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS and data frameworks such as Spark.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, microservices, distributed systems, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews, production system architecture, and engineer mentorship.
• Experience with security best practices, including OWASP, secure coding, and API security.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and proactive leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, or EO 14117 compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
