Assembly Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Remote - Jiangyin; the requirements specify working in Ningbo, stationed at Ningbo FHEC.

What you will do

• Monitor and improve semiconductor assembly supplier performance across technology, quality, response, delivery, and cost.
• Investigate assembly quality issues, identify root causes, and ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
• Audit suppliers, conduct quarterly performance ratings, and support continuous quality and technical improvement.
• Analyze assembly yield, defect modes, SPC data, work-in-progress, and cycle-time performance to support quality and on-time delivery.
• Assess risks related to wafer incoming issues and assembly-related holds at the test floor.
• Coordinate failure analysis, supplier qualification, and qualification of new materials, packages, and assembly processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with semiconductor assembly processes and quality control methods, including 8D CAR, FMEA, and SPC.
• Knowledge of basic failure analysis and reliability concepts.
• Fluent English writing and speaking skills required.
• Work location is in Ningbo, stationed at Ningbo FHEC.
