Staff AI Engineer

What you will do

• Define and drive AI strategy across multiple teams and engineering-wide initiatives.
• Architect and lead backend-first agentic products.
• Explore emerging AI technologies, build proofs of concept, and turn promising ideas into production products.
• Remain hands-on through foundational coding, design reviews, and refactoring key systems.
• Set engineering standards for impact, speed, quality, and technical excellence.
• Mentor AI engineers and developers building AI products while advising leadership.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of experience with multi-team or organization-level technical impact.
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems and multi-team architecture leadership.
• Production experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend systems.
• Experience exploring, evaluating, and experimenting with AI/ML-based products in production.
• Experience building reliable, secure, and safe GenAI products, including guardrails and online evaluation.
• Excellent English communication skills required, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
