Regulatory and Licensing Lead (Francophone Africa)

What you will do

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments impacting operations in the Francophone Africa region.
• Maintain active relationships with policymakers, central banks, and financial intelligence units.
• Lead end-to-end licensing and registration applications for new markets.
• Represent the company in industry roundtables, consultations, and regulatory dialogues.
• Provide actionable risk and regulatory insights to internal cross-functional teams.
• Prepare briefing papers and policy submissions aligned with global strategy.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in governmental affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal roles within the financial services or crypto-asset industry in Africa.
• Proven track record of engaging with regulators and securing favorable policy positions.
• Fluent in English and French with exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex regulatory topics for non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across borders and time zones.
• Strong team player capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
