Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States, five days per week

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD per year

hirify.global is a vertically integrated space and defense company developing hardware and space robotics for low-Earth-orbit missions, including satellite buses, in-orbit servicing robotics, and mission hardware.

What you will do

• Help build and operate the legal function supporting the company’s growth and business execution.
• Review, interpret, draft, redline, and negotiate agreements with customers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and strategic partners.
• Support government, commercial, and strategic programs from proposal review through negotiation and execution.
• Advise on deliverables, acceptance, payment, intellectual property, data rights, confidentiality, liability, indemnity, warranties, termination, cybersecurity, export controls, and security requirements.
• Build contract templates, negotiation playbooks, approval paths, tracking systems, and internal legal guidance.
• Prepare risk summaries and deal recommendations while coordinating with leadership, engineering, program management, finance, HR, security, customers, and outside counsel.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or both, with exposure to corporate, commercial, transactional, technology, or other business-facing matters.
• At least 1 year of in-house legal experience at a venture-backed startup.
• Strong contract judgment and experience with RFPs, purchase orders, customer terms, supplier terms, and other business-critical legal documents.
• Ability to communicate clearly, manage stakeholders, work independently, and handle drafting, negotiation, organization, and closing directly.
• U.S. citizenship is required; applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S., and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, robotics, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, government contracting, or another highly technical industry.
• Knowledge of U.S. foreign investment and export control rules, including ITAR, EAR, CFIUS, controlled technical data, foreign person restrictions, and technology access controls.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS, data rights, cybersecurity requirements, intellectual property, regulatory matters, litigation management, or compliance functions.
