Senior Fullstack Developer (Fusion)

Salary: $138,000–$207,000 USD annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Design and implement front-end experiences for pulser factory hardware testing systems.
• Create Figma or equivalent UI demos to align stakeholders on user experience and visual design.
• Define database schemas and deploy systems for heterogeneous data from controls systems, hardware testing equipment, and experimental diagnostics.
• Architect data flows and user experiences for the Demonstration System, aggregating diagnostic data into actionable insights for scientific staff.
• Accelerate the software-driven lifecycle from experiment through analysis and decision-making.
• Partner with fusion scientists, make data analysis and visualization decisions, and lead a team delivering mission-critical systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing interactive web applications with React.
• Strong experience with data streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka, MQTT, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of time-series, SQL, and NoSQL databases, including InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, MongoDB, MariaDB, or similar systems.
• Strong back-end application development experience with Golang, Python, or similar languages.
• Competency with CI/CD workflows and tooling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of driving strategic decisions using high-volume, uncertain data.

Nice to have

• Experience in hard-tech industries such as fusion, aerospace, electric vehicles, energy, or robotics.
• Experience working with PhD scientists and R&D technology organizations.
• Familiarity with databases used for quantitative data.
• Experience growing and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
