Engineer for New Coater/Developer at TAK (Lithography)

Location: Tokyo, Takao, Japan; onsite manufacturing role.

What you will do

• Develop new or modified InP-based lithography processes and define exposure conditions, handling equipment requirements, and specifications.
• Apply developed technologies to product manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Introduce new lithography process equipment and establish process conditions for mass-production capacity ramp-up.
• Support activities from pilot-plant development through full-scale manufacturing.
• Plan projects involving new concepts, equipment automation technology, and improved processing or development approaches.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• With a bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of work experience; with a master's degree, at least 3 years; no relevant work experience required with a PhD.
• Experience in optical semiconductor wafer processing and process improvement using stepper or E-beam equipment.
• Experience with wafer-process production technology.
• On-time mindset.
• Fluent Japanese and business-level English for online meetings, email communication, documentation, management, and discussion.

Nice to have

• Practical experience in wet or dry etching, oxide-film deposition, sputtering, or metal deposition.
