Lead Principal Engineer (Java and Loyalty Solutions)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of Java-based loyalty applications and services.
• Provide technical leadership across design, development, testing, maintenance, and operational support.
• Investigate complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Drive system maintenance, technical debt reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders on technical discussions and solution clarification.
• Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Enterprise software development experience with Java and Java Enterprise technologies.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, best practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience leading technical delivery in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse, multicultural environments and represent technical perspectives in customer engagements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring, or Hibernate.
• Experience with Angular.
• Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded or concurrent applications.
