Senior Information Security Engineer

hirify.global is seeking an information security subject matter expert to strengthen its security posture across critical technology environments.

What you will do

• Strengthen network, system, email, cloud, and data security across core environments.
• Advise IT projects on security requirements, risk mitigation, and protection of critical assets.
• Design, develop, manage, and optimize security tools and security architectures.
• Provide second-line support to Security Operations and oversee the Managed Detection and Response provider.
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments, security testing, and automated validation of security controls.
• Execute security roadmap initiatives and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to integrate security into business processes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in information security engineering, architecture, operations, or application security.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, system hardening, cloud security, network security, and systems security.
• Hands-on experience with threat modelling, penetration testing, security testing, and automated security validation.
• Experience scripting in one or more languages; Python and PowerShell are advantageous.
• Familiarity with EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and email gateways.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM-related field, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and security configurations in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Experience reviewing source code, performing static and dynamic analysis, and identifying application security vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with SEC Cybersecurity rules, MAS TRM Guidelines, NFA Cybersecurity Guidance, GDPR, and relevant security certifications.
