Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; four days a week onsite

Salary: €80,000–€105,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and deliver cloud-native preventative and detective security controls that operate at scale.
• Build and maintain automation for auditing infrastructure-as-code and deployed infrastructure.
• Develop security tooling and integrate or extend third-party security products.
• Co-develop threat models and perform security reviews and security testing with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and operations teams to maintain a secure production environment.
• Lead complex projects and contribute to security strategy, tooling selection, and capability development.

Requirements

• Experience building and deploying containerised applications in public cloud environments using CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, cloud operations, security, automation, orchestration, and distributed systems.
• Experience with container and Kubernetes security, threat modelling, and design reviews.
• Experience developing security tools and automation in Go, Python, or another modern programming language.
• Experience with Git and designing, developing, and maintaining security in AWS or GCP environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Knowledge of well-architected cloud security frameworks or CSA-CCM.
• Contributions to the security community through research, blogging, or presentations.
• Experience with penetration testing, security testing, and cloud provider APIs.
