What you will do

  • Design and analyze mechanical systems for a greenfield uranium enrichment facility, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, ductwork, and piping.
  • Prepare mechanical design packages, drawing sets, calculations, specifications, and technical reports through permit level using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with structural, architectural, electrical, chemical, and external engineering partners to integrate safe and performant solutions.
  • Support concept development, feasibility studies, scope definition, vendor activities, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver designs that meet regulatory, performance, cost, and schedule requirements from concept through commissioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Professional experience with HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fast-paced engineering environments or highly technical roles requiring resourcefulness and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Working knowledge of power coordination and arc flash.
  • Experience at a consulting firm or on large-scale, mission-critical construction projects.
  • Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) knowledge.
  • Experience developing custom details and working with local or state code compliance.
