TL;DR
Lead Contract Manager (Technology): Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements for procurement, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, and other technology-related operations with an accent on contract risk allocation, business objectives, and cross-functional support. Focus on independently managing complex transactions, advising stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations, and improving contracting processes through templates, playbooks, and workflow tools.

Location: Onsite in Milpitas or Irvine, California

Salary: $126,300–$214,700 per year

What you will do

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including service, SaaS, software licensing, professional services, supply, equipment purchase, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Provide practical contract guidance, risk assessments, contract interpretation, and risk mitigation strategies to business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Procurement, Logistics, IT, Engineering, Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing, and commercial contracts attorneys.
  • Support sourcing, operational, and manufacturing arrangements for engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, guidance materials, and contracting processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects while facilitating business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a JD or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements in-house or in a similar business environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracting, negotiation, risk allocation, and contract administration.
  • Ability to manage routine and increasingly complex transactions independently from initiation through execution.
  • Strong business judgment, negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality, timely results.

Nice to have

  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or supply chain organizations.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management solutions and contracting workflow tools.
