Korea Analyst

What you will do

• Conduct fundamental research on Korean listed equities across sectors, including business models, competitive positioning, and risks.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform valuation analysis.
• Analyze Korean-language earnings releases, investor presentations, filings, news, and broker research.
• Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and regulatory developments affecting Korean markets.
• Prepare investment memos, research notes, and internal presentations for portfolio managers.
• Participate in earnings calls, translate and summarize key takeaways, engage with Korean company IR teams and management, and support portfolio monitoring through performance attribution and catalyst tracking.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in equity research, asset management, hedge funds, investment banking, or a related buy-side or sell-side role with Korea exposure.
• Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
• Undergraduate degree required, preferably in finance, commerce, or business administration.
• Native Korean proficiency required.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.

Nice to have

• CFA or CA designation.
• Japanese language skills.
