Junior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Clearing & Settlement (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop and evolve business-critical clearing and settlement services with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build and operate cloud-native applications on AWS, including containerised ECS services and event-driven Lambda workloads.
• Support infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and reliable production operations.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested, and maintainable code with guidance and regular feedback.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams using agile practices, Domain-Driven Design, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
• Contribute to resilient and compliant financial workflows and continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, engineering, sciences, a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot through internships, working-student roles, personal projects, or university projects.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, API development, relational databases, and automated testing.
• Interest in Domain-Driven Design, cloud-native development, distributed systems, AWS, and complex financial workflows.
• Quality and security mindset with clear communication, collaboration, openness to feedback, and motivation to learn quickly.
