Patient Access & Pre-Access Supervisor (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Salary: $47,400–$59,250 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Coordinate patient registration and pre-registration activities across direct and indirect reporting staff.
• Monitor department performance, including point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, productivity, and other operational metrics.
• Schedule staff rotations, time off, and call-off coverage while balancing productivity and overtime.
• Track upfront collections, assign goals, and provide coaching or corrective action.
• Conduct staff orientation, training, audits, evaluations, and ongoing development.
• Support process changes, assigned projects, facility activities, and on-call administrative guidance for staff.

Requirements

• Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) certification.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lead and direct others, strong analytical ability, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing.
• Ability to work on-site in Newport News, Virginia, including an on-call rotation covering days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
• Advanced use of AI and experience managing teams that apply AI to process and technology improvements.
