hirify.global develops and operates full-size autonomous cargo aircraft, including seaplane and STOL platforms designed to carry two tons of payload over long distances.

What you will do

  • Design and validate aerodynamic surfaces, aircraft configurations, and control geometries using CFD and historical data.
  • Support flight dynamics modeling and simulation for stability, control, and aircraft performance.
  • Analyze propulsion integration, cooling airflow, aerodynamic loads, and control surface sizing.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to make aerodynamic designs practical to produce.
  • Create aerodynamic databases, performance models, flight simulation models, and engineering documentation.
  • Participate in flight testing and correlate CFD and analytical predictions with measured flight data.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, or XFLR5.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, stability and control, and aircraft performance.
  • Knowledge of mesh design and refinement, including Fluent Meshing.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis, load validation, composite design, and manufacturing methods.
  • Ability to interpret flight-test data and develop analytical performance models in a hands-on engineering environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with flight testing, data acquisition, post-flight analysis, wind-tunnel testing, or scaled-model testing.
  • Experience with X-Plane aircraft design or seaplane design.
  • Python or MATLAB programming for CFD and performance automation.
  • Basic FEA experience for evaluating load paths or aerodynamic-induced stresses.
