Company

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense aviation company developing high-speed aircraft through rapid iterative hardware prototyping.

What you will do

  • Perform thermodynamic cycle analysis of turbofan engines across the flight envelope, evaluating thrust, TSFC, efficiency, operability margins, and related performance metrics.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain propulsion performance models for aircraft integration, certification, and customer deliverables.
  • Generate aircraft and engine performance data for flight manuals, flight computers, and program assessments.
  • Conduct runway, mission, engine-airframe integration, and takeoff thrust optimization analyses.
  • Author and execute flight test plans and support experimental testing, including wind tunnel testing, aeroacoustics, flow visualization, and telemetry analysis.
  • Size, analyze, and optimize the HEAT high-enthalpy airflow test facility while contributing to combustion and fluid dynamics modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, compressible flow, gas turbine engine cycles, and aerodynamics.
  • Experience with propulsion performance modeling and aircraft performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Python.
  • Ability to interpret and validate complex engineering datasets.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering focused on propulsion, aerothermodynamics, or combustion.
  • Experience with turbofan engine development programs.
  • Background in CFD, Large Eddy Simulation, or reduced-order modeling.
  • Experience with experimental aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, or high-speed flow diagnostics.
  • Technical leadership or cross-functional collaboration experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Venture-backed environment focused on rapid hardware iteration and high-speed aviation systems.
  • 100% employer-paid healthcare and pet insurance.
  • Competitive pay, stock options, 401(k), and potential year-end bonuses.
  • Paid parental leave, 12 federal holidays, and PTO options.
  • Weekly paid office lunches and stocked breakrooms.
