Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; on-site. The hired person must be a U.S. person under applicable export-control rules or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Salary: $91,800–$140,250 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and refine aerodynamic designs for supersonic and hypersonic vehicles with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Conduct computational fluid dynamics simulations to assess aerodynamic performance and behavior.
• Design, optimize, and evaluate vehicle configurations for high-speed flight.
• Support wind-tunnel testing and analyze experimental data to validate CFD predictions.
• Develop innovative aerodynamic solutions and integrate them with other vehicle engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant aerodynamics or aerospace engineering experience.
• Proficiency with computational fluid dynamics software and tools.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamic principles and high-speed aerodynamic design and analysis.
• Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis and modeling.
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of wind-tunnel testing and experimental data analysis.
• Previous experience with experimental programs.
