Director of Compliance Operations (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead, scale, and develop KYC and Monitoring teams against measurable targets and accountability standards.
• Define and manage KPIs, SLAs, quality scores, productivity benchmarks, and capacity forecasts.
• Optimize onboarding, KYB, transaction monitoring, and card monitoring processes to improve speed, quality, cost, and customer experience.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to implement automation and AI across compliance workflows.
• Own third-party screening, identity verification, monitoring, and case-management vendors, including performance and cost management.
• Maintain audit- and regulator-ready operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions while reporting risks, trends, and investment needs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and scaling operational teams in a high-growth environment.
• Strong experience with operational management, KPI and SLA design, FTE forecasting, capacity planning, and data-driven performance management.
• Technically minded, with experience using data, querying, dashboards, automation, and AI to improve workflows.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and scaling operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Experience working in audit- and regulator-ready environments and engaging with auditors, partner banks, and regulators.
• Solid understanding of KYB for corporate customers and transaction and card monitoring, combined with strong people-management and customer-focused skills.
