FinCrime AML/CTF Manager (Fintech)

Location: Luxembourg, Luxembourg; hybrid with three days per week in-office (Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day)

What you will do

• Lead, grow, and manage the first-line AML/CTF operations team.
• Own customer risk assessment frameworks and oversee customer risk categorization across the lifecycle.
• Direct onboarding, ongoing monitoring, periodic reviews, and event-driven reviews performed by KYC and KYB teams.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, including assessments, escalations, and detection-scenario calibration.
• Partner with Product teams to define compliant onboarding requirements and improve user experience.
• Approve SARs and STRs, prepare audit materials, and liaise with Compliance and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of AML/CTF operations experience in fintech, digital banking, or payment processing, including 2+ years leading dedicated teams.
• Strong knowledge of EU AML Directives, FATF recommendations, and Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
• Professional certification such as CAMS, ICA, or an equivalent qualification is highly expected.
• Experience managing transaction monitoring systems, approving SARs/STRs, and designing customer risk-rating frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Analytical experience using KPIs and data tools such as HEX, SQL, or Splunk, plus the ability to lead teams through regulatory and technology change.
