Senior NLP Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is hiring for its SG – Material department to improve information extraction from patents and scientific literature.

What you will do

• Own and improve the information-extraction pipeline from model development through production.
• Design document-level extraction approaches for long documents where entities, material properties, and relationships span multiple sections.
• Analyze and process large-scale structured and unstructured data using NLP tasks.
• Build hybrid systems combining NER, rule-based methods, statistical methods, and LLMs.
• Independently scope, prototype, optimize, and ship algorithmic improvements.
• Define evaluation methodologies, annotation strategies, and quality metrics with domain experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on NLP or ML engineering experience in production.
• Experience owning model or pipeline quality and improving algorithms to meet business requirements.
• Experience with long-document or document-level information extraction and normalization.
• Strong knowledge of NER and entity methodology across rule-based, statistical, and LLM-based approaches.
• Solid coding and engineering fundamentals, including experience working at scale.
