Electronic Trading Support Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; Chicago, Illinois, United States; Dublin, Ireland; or New York, New York, United States. Support is required during US market hours.

Salary: USD 100,000–150,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and competitive benefits.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize the live electronic trading environment.
• Support live trading during US market hours and handle order flow from trading desks.
• Act as the first line of defense for production trading issues and respond to external market alerts and outages.
• Configure, monitor, and improve trading systems while handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks.
• Interface with exchanges and other external parties to support trading.
• Coordinate technical rollouts of new trading strategies and automate common operational tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Working knowledge of UNIX systems.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with internal and external clients.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of market data and order entry systems, with an interest in modern electronic markets.

Nice to have

• Industry experience.
• Series 7 or Series 57 certification.
