Infrastructure Electrical Engineer

Location: Albuquerque, NM, with up to 50% travel to the San Leandro, CA facility during design and permitting.

Salary: $116,000–$174,000 USD annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop requirements and guidelines for facility electrical infrastructure, building electrical systems, backup power, and energy management systems.
• Assist with the design and development of building electrical systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, scientists, technicians, and the Infrastructure Design Team to gather inputs and document systems.
• Support permitting design, construction, commissioning, and operations of facility electrical systems.
• Develop commissioning, maintenance, and operations plans.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and future upgrades of building electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in design, construction, facility operations, and commissioning for industrial, manufacturing, or research facilities.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage AC systems and high-voltage DC systems.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Hands-on experience commissioning and operating industrial, manufacturing, or research facilities.
• Strong multidisciplinary program management skills and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

• Professional Engineer license.
