Software QA Engineering Lead (AI) (SaMD/regulated healthcare software): Ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of medical software and AI-enabled healthcare products with an accent on automation, risk management, and integrated quality workflows. Focus on embedding QA into development pipelines, supporting verification and validation, and strengthening testing and compliance processes in a fast-scaling healthtech environment.
Location: Hybrid in Berlin or Stockholm

What you will do
- Embed quality practices into software development workflows in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Support verification and validation activities for Software as a Medical Device.
- Contribute to risk management and compliance for software systems and AI-enabled features.
- Improve QA workflows through automation, tooling, and AI-assisted processes.
- Strengthen quality systems and continuously improve development and testing processes.
- Communicate quality risks, progress, and issues clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance within regulated environments such as medical devices, healthtech, or digital health.
- Experience with Software as a Medical Device or other regulated healthcare software products.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, testing strategies, and development pipelines.
- Experience collaborating with software engineers and cross-functional product teams, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Strong communication skills for explaining risks, issues, and progress.
- Fluent written and spoken English; comfortable using AI tools and automation to improve workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthtech startups, digital health platforms, or software-first medtech companies.
- Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR, or FDA requirements.
- Experience with DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience supporting AI or machine learning products.
- Hands-on experience improving workflows through automation, scripting, or tooling.
