Senior POM Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional POM team and represent Operations in Product Line Core Team and Product Development Team meetings.
• Drive operational readiness, product lifecycle management, qualification plans, engineering samples, and qualification builds.
• Coordinate with supply chain planning, procurement, sales operations, factory teams, and external partners to support product development and manufacturing ramp-up.
• Lead NPI builds, CTB, build readiness, schedule commitments, and shipment-date planning.
• Manage BOM accuracy, SKU requirements, engineering demand, assembly instructions, build requirements, and sample plans in internal systems.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational modeling, automation, cost reduction, and material readiness reviews.

Requirements

• BS or BTech in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Management, or Science.
• 5–7 years of Program Management and New Product Introduction experience in EMS or semiconductor environments.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor NPI processes, supply chain operations, data analysis, communication, and presentations.
• Experience collaborating with multinational, cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and experience improving operational workflows.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Project, Agile systems, and SAP.

Nice to have

• MS, MTech, or MBA.
