TL;DR

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA, United States
Workplace: On-site
ITAR eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, with salary and equity compensation options.

What you will do

  • Define program structure, scope, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate engineering teams and keep hardware and software deliverables moving toward on-time delivery.
  • Identify resource needs, negotiate staffing with functional managers, and resolve conflicts across concurrent programs.
  • Surface program risks and develop practical mitigation plans.
  • Support planning for new programs through staffing plans, cost estimates, schedule assumptions, and resource utilization analysis.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and executives on prioritization and bid/no-bid decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting complex, high-stakes technical programs and delivering integrated hardware/software systems.
  • Ability to learn highly technical concepts rapidly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong accountability and ability to meet mission-critical deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for connecting detailed engineering work with executive-level strategy.
  • Eligibility to work with U.S. space technology under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, or testing electronic or mechanical hardware systems.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or data visualization tools for automating program metrics and performance tracking.
  • Experience in high-growth, ambiguous, or clean-sheet hardware environments.
  • Aerospace industry experience or exposure to safety-critical hardware development.
