Embedded Firmware Engineer (C)

Location: Valencia, Spain. Some travel is required, including possible analysis and testing at customer facilities.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve embedded firmware applications for electrical power devices and ZGR products.
• Analyze software specifications and define software architectures and requirements for complex products.
• Prepare and maintain software design documentation.
• Debug embedded applications and perform unit testing and software verification.
• Review and approve code merges, manage versioning and tickets, and follow defined software development and quality processes.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and support other departments, including customer-site testing when required.

Requirements

• Engineering or university degree in engineering or a science field.
• Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• 0–3 years of academic experience.
• Proficiency in C programming and experience developing well-structured, documented software.
• Ability to analyze high-level requirements, define software specifications, and work rigorously in a team.

Nice to have

• Embedded software development experience for microprocessors.
• Experience with solar or storage inverter systems.
• Experience with Doxygen, unit test design and implementation, Python, and GitLab.
• Knowledge of additional European languages.
