QA Engineer (Cypress/Playwright)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Full-time employment governed by Vietnam labour regulations through the hirify.global entity in Vietnam. Availability is required for alternating Friday evening production deployments from approximately 4pm–7pm PST.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tests for web platforms, primarily using Cypress.io and Playwright.
• Create automated test scripts and manually test new features when they are code complete.
• Perform smoke and regression testing as part of release cycles.
• Review test code, uphold QA standards, and coach other engineers.
• Develop QA tooling and technical foundations to expand testing capabilities.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and development teams to validate requirements and user needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a QA Automation Engineer or in a similar software testing automation role.
• Strong JavaScript programming skills and strong experience with Playwright.
• Experience designing, creating, and executing complex test plans and comprehensive test cases.
• Applied knowledge of manual testing and automated API testing with Postman.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Proficiency in English is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Performance or security testing experience.
• Experience with Python or Go.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
