QA Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Canada

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for product features.
• Develop and maintain automated UI tests for front-end applications using Cypress and Playwright.
• Build API and back-end service test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman.
• Perform permutation, combination, and exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and maximize coverage.
• Monitor CI/CD regression pipelines and manage bugs through documentation, prioritization, tracking, and resolution.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering on acceptance criteria, solution designs, and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation using Cypress and Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with API service test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, QA fundamentals, software testing practices, and tools such as Zephyr or TestRail.
• Experience working within Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Experience in fintech, wealth management, or financial services.
