Payment Operations Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines (On-site)

What you will do

• Manage the operational performance of the payment lifecycle, including funding, disbursement, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Resolve high volumes of payment processing tasks and transaction exceptions with high accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external banking partners to resolve payment concerns and manage relationships.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure adherence to global regulatory frameworks like AML and KYC.
• Collaborate with Risk teams to monitor fraud signals and manage chargeback disputes.
• Provide operational feedback to Product and Engineering teams to improve payment features and infrastructure.

Requirements

• English: Exceptional communication skills required.
• Must be flexible to work graveyard shifts, rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with banking processes such as ACH, wire transfers, and card payments.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with global teams and external partners.

Nice to have

• 1-3 years of experience in payments, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Practical understanding of accounting ledgers (Dr./Cr.) and AP/AR workflows.
• Experience in escrow, marketplace platforms, or trust-based financial products.
• Exposure to multi-currency or cross-border payment environments.
