Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global SDSM Office in Batu Kawan, South Seberang Perai District, Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and statistical analyses for complex business problems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to maintain efficient, high-quality data flows.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and present actionable insights and recommendations.
• Establish data quality standards, validation frameworks, and monitoring systems.
• Support end-to-end project delivery and evaluate emerging data science technologies for organizational use.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or a related role.
• Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R, plus proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, or maintaining machine learning models in production.
