Platform Specialist - Windows and Virtualization

Location: Montreal or Houston

Minimum base salary: $120,000 annually if located in New York. Additional discretionary bonuses and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, virtual networking, and storage.
• Support and enhance Omnissa VDI environments, formerly VMware Horizon.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 services, and hybrid identity and access management.
• Develop PowerShell automation and contribute to infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with security, cybersecurity, and compliance teams on regulatory standards, penetration-test remediation, risk assessments, and ITIL documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments, potentially including endpoint engineering.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system management.
• Experience integrating infrastructure tasks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere design, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VDI platforms, preferably Omnissa VDI or VMware Horizon, plus familiarity with Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, hybrid identity models, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN networking fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification.
• VMware Certified Professional certification in Data Center Virtualization.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Experience in financial services.
