Lead Piercer

Location: Canada; onsite role

Salary: $27–$35 per annum, based on experience and qualifications, plus bonus and tip potential.

What you will do

• Oversee the complete piercing customer journey, including greeting, check-in, styling, transactions, service delivery, and aftercare education.
• Manage daily piercing studio operations, appointment scheduling, inventory, equipment orders, cleanliness, sharps, and biohazard waste.
• Explain procedures, risks, medical considerations, infection symptoms, aftercare, jewelry materials, and downsizing requirements to clients.
• Ensure compliance with identification, waivers, record-keeping, health and safety, and local piercing regulations.
• Style jewelry and ear stacks, promote piercing and related services, and build local customer demand.
• Train and support store staff while partnering with the Store Manager, Store Services, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of needle-piercing experience.
• Experience with threadless jewelry and an autoclave or Statim.
• Current First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA certifications.
• Must have or be registrable for local permits and requirements, including practitioner registration, blood-borne pathogen training, First Aid/CPR, and vaccination requirements.
• Strong knowledge of piercing health and safety protocols and local market laws.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and consumer-facing service skills.
