Property and Tenant Services Manager (Housing Services)

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; must reside within a 20-kilometre radius of McNabb Street and Great Northern Road for on-call responsibilities.

Salary: $37.16–$41.25 per hour

What you will do

• Administer rental processes, including unit showings, offers, lease signings, tenant accounts, rent obligations, and arrears.
• Assess social housing eligibility and rent-geared-to-income subsidy eligibility through interviews, documentation reviews, and investigations.
• Provide social supports, address tenant concerns, coordinate referrals, and develop action plans to prevent eviction or subsidy loss.
• Coordinate property inspections, maintenance, contractors, vacant-unit preparation, and minor repairs.
• Attend Landlord and Tenant Board hearings, enforce eviction orders when required, and coordinate with the Sheriff’s office.
• Maintain accurate records, collaborate with community agencies, and participate in an on-call emergency rotation.

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma in a related field.
• At least one year of experience in client services and/or property management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, independent-work, and collaborative skills.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Must reside within a 20-kilometre radius of McNabb Street and Great Northern Road for on-call responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
