Chemistry Technician I

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan; primary work location KSP-N, with ICP analysis potentially required between KSP-N and KSP-S

What you will do

• Perform routine testing of finished goods, raw materials, intermediate products, request samples, commercial products, new product introductions, experimental products, and complaint samples according to SOPs.
• Conduct physical, chemical, particle, and metal analyses, including pH, viscosity, specific gravity, HPLC, LPC, particle size, and ICP testing.
• Maintain internal and external instrument calibration and verification systems in accordance with established test methods and manufacturing recommendations.
• Enter testing and control-standard data into LIMS and quality databases, analyze trends using basic SPC and control charts, and report abnormal results.
• Support chemists and supervisors with document updates and the annual MSA plan.
• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and follow EHS, 5S, and required safety-training policies.

Requirements

• Chemistry or Biology bachelor's degree.
• More than two years of related chemistry or analytical laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory measurement equipment.
• Experience with LIMS, basic SPC methods, data entry, spreadsheet development, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required.
• Ability to work flexible shift schedules, adapt to change, work independently, and contribute in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICP-MS analysis.
• Experience with statistical software such as Quality Analyst or Minitab.
