Platform Compute Specialist

Location: Montreal, New York, London, Singapore, or Bangalore

Salary: Minimum base salary of $120,000 annually if located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

hirify.global operates a global Platform Compute team supporting high-performance, data-intensive workloads.

What you will do

• Architect and evolve scalable, resilient compute platforms using modern infrastructure engineering practices.
• Build automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, and infrastructure lifecycle operations.
• Develop internal tooling and APIs that abstract infrastructure complexity and improve developer productivity.
• Build and integrate observability pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to support application scalability, reliability, and security.
• Participate in server provisioning, on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and long-term automation improvements.

Requirements

• Expert-level Linux systems administration with RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust for infrastructure tooling.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, identity and access management, Git workflows, and automated testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, hybrid cloud architecture, workload migration, virtualization, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, secure system design, and system hardening.
• Open-source infrastructure contributions or experience with NetBox, IPAM, and custom modules.
