TL;DR

Software Engineer - Backend (Node.js/TypeScript): Developing backend services for business growth and customer-facing features with an accent on payments, onboarding, and trial experiences. Focus on building scalable cloud architecture using AWS, ensuring code quality, and driving efficiency through the active integration of AI tools.

Location: Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal. Hybrid role with in-office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain backend features for plans, pricing strategies, and user onboarding.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver high-impact growth features.
  • Design, deploy, monitor, and test scalable cloud applications on AWS.
  • Actively integrate AI tools to improve engineering efficiency and creativity.
  • Participate in cross-team initiatives to improve team processes and technical efficiency.
  • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues in a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing backend applications.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a product-focused company.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and relational databases (MySQL).
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have

  • Prior knowledge in payment systems or user management.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with ELK stack for monitoring and logging.
