Platform Application Specialist (DevOps)

Location: Montreal, New York, Houston, Boston, Singapore, Hong Kong, or London

Salary: Minimum base salary of $120,000 annually if located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Design, monitor, maintain, and scale mission-critical platform infrastructure using DevOps practices.
• Build and automate observability, scheduling, orchestration, middleware, database, and development-tool platforms.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, self-service workflows, and infrastructure automation that improve developer and researcher productivity.
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and infrastructure teams across the platform ecosystem.
• Support operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability of shared services.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Software development experience with Python.
• System administration and troubleshooting experience with Linux, Bash, and containerization.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, Vector, or AlertManager.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MSSQL, Redis, FoundationDB, Kafka, Consul, Slurm, Kubernetes, Airflow, or Prefect.
• Experience deploying GitLab, Artifactory, CI/CD tooling, or JupyterHub on premises.
• Knowledge of Golang, Rust, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API development, advanced software engineering concepts, or Kubernetes Operators.
