What you will do

• Lead and coach Engineering, Supplier, Manufacturing, Warranty, and other cross-functional teams through structured problem solving using Six Sigma DMAIC, DFSS IDDOV, Shainin RedX, or equivalent methods.
• Lead root-cause analysis and solution-development workshops.
• Prevent problems by identifying risks and developing robust, innovative solutions.
• Capture lessons learned in DFMEAs and DVPs, and define quality requirements.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste using Lean methods including TIMWOODS, VSM, and 5S.
• Oversee quality maturity management, validate vehicle functions and systems, and use AI to identify and solve problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Vehicle, or related Engineering.
• 10–15+ years of experience in automotive engineering or product quality, including dedicated Problem Solver experience.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle and product design, development, and manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in Six Sigma, DFSS, Red X, structured problem solving, product assessment, and root-cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of NHTSA FMVSS requirements and CAE methods for safety, NVH, and durability optimization.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and make disciplined, data-driven quality decisions.

Nice to have

• Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification in Six Sigma, IDDOV/DMAIC, and structured problem solving.
• Experience launching new automotive programs on time while meeting quality and program metrics.
