Senior POS Mobile Engineer (Android/Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Android-based POS terminal applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Own end-to-end transaction flows including sales, refunds, reversals, settlement, synchronization, and offline-first processing.
• Integrate EMV chip, contactless NFC, card-present transaction flows, payment SDKs, encryption, and key management.
• Integrate POS peripherals and OEM SDKs, including card readers, pin pads, printers, scanners, Bluetooth, USB, and embedded hardware.
• Improve code quality, testing, CI/CD, release processes, monitoring, debugging, and application performance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Backend, Architecture, and Hardware teams; mentor mid-level engineers and support onboarding.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android application development experience.
• Strong expertise in native Android development with Kotlin and Java.
• Experience building or maintaining POS terminal applications and Android-based embedded POS terminals.
• Solid knowledge of EMV standards, card-present payment flows, payment SDKs, secure coding, and financial transaction environments.
• Experience integrating hardware peripherals, REST APIs, WebSockets, background synchronization, and local storage with Room or SQLite.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus strong debugging, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter.
