Android Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Jakarta, Indonesia

What you will do

• Develop intuitive and engaging experiences for the Android platform.
• Own features from inception and design feedback through implementation and launch.
• Write unit and functional tests for implemented features.
• Compile and integrate changes into the project.
• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers, and Data Engineers.
• Mentor and guide engineers contributing to the codebase.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and the Android framework.
• Deep understanding of reactive programming, design patterns, and their practical application.
• Familiarity with end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Experience with Kotlin, RxJava 2, Dagger 2, and related libraries.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills.

• Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the specifications.
• Experience tracking application performance through instrumentation.
• Advocacy for governance around fast and stable build releases.
• Curiosity about internal system operation and continuous improvement of the technology stack.
