Escrow Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage daily escrow operations, including payment processing, settlement approvals, fund releases, and transaction reconciliations.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to payments analysts.
• Coordinate with banking institutions and resolve complex payment processing, disbursement, and customer issues.
• Maintain compliance with DFPI regulations and escrow laws, including accurate books, records, and accounts.
• Develop process improvements, anti-fraud controls, and operational metrics to reduce risk and improve customer experience.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Product, and senior leadership to scale payment operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in escrow operations, payments, or financial services, including 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain an Escrow Manager License through DFPI.
• Knowledge of escrow regulations, accounting controls, books and records, payment processing, banking operations, and reconciliation.
• Experience managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and presentation skills, with willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with wire, ACH, check, SWIFT, IBAN, Zelle, FedNow, and RTP payment systems.
• Experience with domestic and international payment methods.
