Maintenance Reliability Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Bay City, Michigan, United States; full-time presence at the facility is required. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the plant's Total Productive Maintenance program and support the maintenance organization.
• Act as the first escalation point for Maintenance Group Leaders and interface with service personnel on technical and production issues.
• Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to meet monthly productivity targets.
• Track maintenance health through KPIs, utilization, downtime, failure analysis, and related reports.
• Use Maximo CMMS to record maintenance activities and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive equipment improvements through Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, predictive maintenance, and spare-parts strategies while supporting projects and the monthly maintenance budget.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Independent working style with strong failure anticipation, data analysis, and equipment-efficiency skills.
• Strong problem-solving, continuous-improvement, task-management, prioritization, delegation, and accountability skills.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Bay City, Michigan, on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience; an engineering degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Maximo, Microsoft Office, COGNOS Analytics, and SAP.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasonic monitoring, and fluid or oil analysis.
• Ability to learn, adapt to, and train employees on changing technologies and systems.
