Software Engineer - Distributed Compute

What you will do

• Maintain and improve resource scheduling, data caching, and job monitoring for the research environment.
• Optimize user workloads and infrastructure-level workloads to improve iteration speed and resource efficiency.
• Provide users with metrics and real-time information about workload behavior.
• Work directly with quantitative traders and software engineers to understand technical needs.
• Set technical direction and take holistic ownership of the software infrastructure supporting algorithmic research.
• Contribute individually while providing technical leadership and coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong C++ expertise, preferably with daily use.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience collaborating with quantitative researchers and traders.
• Knowledge of Linux, system and processor performance, and network communication.
• Strong communication, system design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
