Senior Software Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Boston office in Charlestown, Massachusetts; minimum three days per week in the office, with additional days as needed

Salary: $176,000–$183,500 annually in Boston

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate cloud and edge infrastructure for robotics software deployments.
• Maintain and optimize Ubuntu edge servers installed across hirify.global locations using AWS ECS Anywhere, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Improve server provisioning pipelines for Linux imaging and application-stack deployment.
• Enhance CI/CD workflows for efficient testing and software delivery.
• Debug complex network and application issues across distributed systems.
• Build developer tooling that improves engineering productivity and development velocity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional DevOps or Systems Engineering experience supporting production environments.
• Deep Linux expertise and strong experience managing cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Bash or Python scripting skills and knowledge of Docker containerization.
• Excellent systems-level and network troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication, teaching, and continuous-improvement skills.
