Cloud Native Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Bern, Switzerland, with the option to work from a hirify.global office in Switzerland or from a home office.

What you will do

• Operate, automate, and continuously evolve the hirify.global Mobile Core platform.
• Design and implement platform solutions based on Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement sustainable solutions to improve system resilience.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience operating Linux-based platforms and services.
• Advanced proficiency in Kubernetes; CKA certification is an advantage.
• Understanding of networking concepts including IP, DNS, routing, and switching.
• Ability to design declarative automation with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and develop custom solutions using Python or Golang.
• Strong ownership, a solution-oriented mindset, collaboration skills, and commitment to continuous learning.
