Senior Platform/SRE Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Drive best practices and adoption of observability tools, especially Datadog.
• Optimize deployment methodologies using GitHub Actions and AWS ECS.
• Advance service management through the adoption of SRE best practices.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code projects, particularly with Terraform.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure reliable system operation and respond to large-scale incidents.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, or Buildkite.
• Software engineering experience as part of a larger team or project; open-source experience is acceptable.
• Python scripting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container schedulers such as AWS ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Mesos/Marathon.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience; a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field, or seven years of equivalent experience.
